In 2009 , the SRCA annual conference was held in conjunction with the Preservation Trades Network and the Timberframer's Guild. The SRCA had agreed to install a slate roof on a timber-frame white oak picnic shelter that was erected in River View Park in Frankfort, the state capital. The finished roof is pictured below, with Liam Tower of Slate Affair, Inc.:
